I used to not understand people that shipped characters... Then again I used to not know about Fluttermac! Absolutely love this ship!

oops, it finally posted! Wrote a book and then a short version.

I wrote a comment that didn't post.

Always thought it would be awesome if they both got together. Perhaps over a bird that Big Mac accidentally bucked out of an Apple tree that he didn't see that broke its wing. After all love is often a big part of friendship, and that does include Friends falling in love with their friends brother or sister, and finding a way to make it so that things between friends doesn't change anything considering in this case Applejack has in away grown to see Fluttershy and all of her closest friends kinda like sisters considering of all that they've been through as a team. In this episode Fluttershy and Big Mac learn to not be afraid of their feelings and Applejack and the rest of the gang all learn how to support them both. And this is how Fluttermac would be official.

If this does happen the show wouldn't have to change. The show could perhaps show Big Mac and Fluttershy together once in awhile along with the rest of the Apple family (Granny Smith, Applebloom and Applejack) doing family picnics as a couple and they wouldn't necessarily get all romantic and mushy. Friendship could still be the main focus and it wouldn't ruin the show.

It has been along time since anybody posted on this message board, and this is actually my first post.

I always thought this pair would be actually really cute together and I also feel that it could work within the show if there is balance. I know My Little Pony Friendship is Magic isn't about Romance it's about Friendship however often within friendships the unexpected happens. The unexpected being that one of your closet friends falls unexpectedly in love with your brother or sister or another friend. There could be an episode that demonstrates that and in this case it would be about Big Macintosh and Fluttershy.

In this episode perhaps Big Mac sees a bird that has fallen out of an Apple Tree and it has broken it's wing or leg right after he had bucked the tree that the bird happened to have been sitting on that Big Mac didn't notice. This makes Big Mac feel awful about being so clumsy and he goes up to all of his family at home and explains what had happened and then takes them to the bird that is lying on the ground helpless. Once he shows and explains what had happened to the bird Applejack immediately says that she's going to ask Fluttershy to help nurse the bird back to health and Big Mac decides right away to come along. Once Applejack and Big Mac explain to Fluttershy what had happened to a bird that Big Mac accidentally injured they both kindly ask Fluttershy if she could help nurse the bird back to health, which Fluttershy then asks where the bird is, and so they take her to the bird and she is obliged to nurse the injured bird back to health. While Fluttershy is caring for the bird Big Mac often goes over to Fluttershys (at first along with Applejack, and then eventually on his own) to check on the bird, which leads Big Mac and Fluttershy in getting to know each other a lot more and in the end they've developed strong feelings for one another. It is right after they both take the bird back out into nature when it is well enough to be able to fly again that they realize their strong feelings for each other. Once they realize their feelings their shyness is more evident. Big Mac starts acting weird whenever he sees Fluttershy which Applejack questions and then Applejack notices that Fluttershy is acting more shy than usual whenever Fluttershy sees Big Mac and then Applejack remembers how close Big Mac and Fluttershy had started to get and so she puts two and two together. Applejack in a way has always thought of her closest friends sorta like sisters and that included Fluttershy do to how close they all had been so the idea of having Fluttershy as a someday perhaps Sister In Law excites her. While this is happening Applejack tells the rest of the main ponies what she's noticed which they all support her to intervene considering Big Mac is after all her Big Brother, and so Applejack does just that, she intervenes between Big Mac and Fluttershy. First Applejack talks to Big Mac, which Big Mac spills the beans about his feelings for Fluttershy right away considering he feels most comfortable talking to his middle sister about such things, and soon afterwords she talks to Fluttershy. During the time she talks to Fluttershy Fluttershy seems afraid to say how she feels about Big Mac considering he is after all Applejacks Big Brother. Applejack realizes this and immedeatly explains to Fluttershy that nothing between them will change considering that she's always seen her kinda like a sister and that she supports her know matter how she feels about him which shortly after Fluttershy shyly explains how close she had gotten with Big Mac and that she's never felt such feelings for anybody before until she had gotten to know Big Mac, and so she confesses that she has fallen in love with him, and shortly after she says those few words Big Mac walks in after Angel (her pet rabbit) has answered the softly knocking door, which he had overheard her feelings for him out aloud says to her "I'm in love with you too" and they seal it with a soft kiss"

If this does happen perhaps they wouldn't live together just show each other with each other every now and then in other shows as a couple and then most of the time the show would focus on the main purpose of the show "Friendship."
